Hello,
I have 1 iMac at home and 2 personal Macbook Pro's - One that I use for presentations (and older and slower 17" that I prefer to lug around with me) and one (a faster new 17") that I use to work on when I am travelling. I have bought the CS6 Master Suite Collection & I was wondering how of my home machines I can install it on.
Thanks
Ryan
You get 2 activation with CS6 , hence you can install it on any number of machines but can use it on 2 machines only.
If you want to use the software on 3rd computer then you have to de-activate the other one.
With CS6 , we came up with a user-friendly alternative wherein if you have software activated on 2 machine already and you plan to activate on 3rd machine then you will get the prompt that whether you want to use the new serial number or want to de-activate all the software hence you can de-activate the older computers and activate it on 3rd machine once done you can revert back to older machine and do the same to activate the earlier machine and deactivate the third computer.
Okay a couple questions then. I have the CS6 Student / Teacher edition. And I want to install it on my Macbook that I take to and from school and I want to install it on my Mac Pro at home. Can I do that and have them both activated at the same time?
If the answer is YES then what happens if I get a new Macbook Pro laptop and want to activate that one and deactivate the old Macbook, is that possible?
If the answer is NO then I will just install and use on Mac Pro only.
Which leads me to a new question, is there such thing as just purchasing a new Serial number for a new device? Or do I have to buy the whole software bundle for a third device. (assuming my student version is able to be installed on 2)
Hope this isnt too confusing.
