Text not showing in Design view - Why???

I am doing a DW course and using files created by the college which contain text already. When I open them up in DW CS5.5 - the design view does not show certain text, but it is obviously there in the SOurce code. It does show up in Live view and in a browser view.

Can someone explain how and why this is happening in the design view and how I can rectify it?

I've uploaded the pic below to show how I can highlight text in the SC and it doesn't show in the Design view!

I'm working on a Mac 10.6.8

Help - I'm at my wits end!

    What class is controlling the font color?

    Could it be white?

    A link to this page would let us answer your question chop chop.  Can you post it?

    Could be your Times New Roman font is corrupted.  Which OS do you have?

    So do you mean you have no webspace where you can park this page and its dependent files for an hour or two?  Surely you do.  Even a look at your pasted HTML and CSS in a reply would be better than this guessing game you are asking us to do now....

    The text shows up for me ok in Snow Leopard, however I noticed in the css you posted you have no closing } for your 'logo' css selector. It should be as below:

    #logo {

        display: block;

    }

    -->

    </style>

    I notice on your image that you posted that the <h> tag text shows up.

    font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;

    Swap the font-family below for the one above and see what happens.

    body {

        margin: 0;

        padding: 0;

        color: #333;

        font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

        font-size: 100%;

        background-color: #00205B;

    }

    If you want a sans-serif font (one with no serifs) then you could try this combination:

    font-family: helvetica, verdana, sans-serif;

    It's likely that your 'arial' font is corrupt as Nancy suggested in her earlier post.
