How can I restrict creation of application instances?

Is there a way to control the instantiation of application instances on Flash Media Server? In particular, it appears that any client that can get past the handshake can freely create an app instance by connecting to, say, rtmfp://host/myapp/somenewinstance. Is there any way to prevent the creation of `somenewinstance` in this case?
