Product recommendation

I need a recommendation for a product that I can use on a Mac laptop or iPad that would make it easy for a math tutor and his student to share homework and lessons.  I have work books that could be scanned into PDF's, but no way electronically writing on the worksheets and sharing them between the tutor and the student.
