Hi there,

I've just tried to run an air app on iOS 6 but all the vistual elements doesn't render properly, e.g. the tab view cannot render tab icons/tab bar, the action bar cannot render anything at all plus all other components...

Please let me know if you have any idea about that.

Many thanks.

Didn't try iOS 6.0 + AIR 3.3 yet but iOS 5.1.1 + Air 3.2 SDK work quite well across my Flex applications.

i developed apps with flash cs5.5 and air3.2 and they run as expected on ipad2 and ipad3 with ios4.3.3 - ios5.x. the company's ipad3 was upgraded to ios6 and the apps do not function correctly, even the graphics are jacked up.

Thanks for reporting the issue. What render mode you're trying on? It's a known issue with gpu render mode and we're investigating it.

StageVideo requires that you use Direct, not GPU, doesn't it?

    update:

    - i'm still using cs5.5, but now have air3.3 overlayed

    - i changed the render mode in the app.xml file to "direct" instead of "gpu" and republished

the app seems to display the graphics and dynamic text ok, but the stageVideos are not showing up.

    suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks...

    //--

    note to colin,

stageVideo using gpu has worked for me since air3.0... i didn't try direct mode until recently

    update:

today i used cs6.0 with air3.3 and "direct" render mode... stageVideos seem to be working.

have not tried to go back to "gpu" to test that render mode since it's apparently better to be using "direct" anyway

    Hi,

I have not tried iOS6 myself, but release notes for yesterday show:

    (7/11/12) Air SDK 3.3.0.3690

    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/release-note/developer-release-not es-11_3.html#main_Fixed_Issues

    FIXED ISSUES:

AIR on iOS apps using GPU render mode crash on iOS 6 devices. (3211902)

I don't know if this crash fix relates to the same rendering bug..

oh sorry, i had not noticed Pahup already posted this...

Have you tested it yet boat? Success? Anyone? Hesitant to flip my iPhone to iOS 6 but it needs to be done.

BTW does this mean that iOS6 will break all previous apps ever, like apps built with 2.6. 2.7, 3.0...do we need to go back and update all our old apps?

I have apps made with AIR 2.0 that are working fine in iOS 6. I have non-AIR apps that do crash in iOS 6, and those apps will need to be republished with those tools, put for AIR, everything seems to be ok.

The AIR 2/0 app I tried does use GPU, but I gather that some AIR 3.3 apps had problems in GPU. There is the new update to take care of those.

    Hi

It seems that the GPU rendering mode prevents Stagevideo to work properly. (Android device)

The screen just appears flickering but no video in sight.

I have had to set the Direct rendering to make video playing.

The problem I have is that play video is just a part of what my app has to do. I really need GPU acceleration for the next...

    Any idea?

What happened with Air SDK 3.3.0.3690? Learnt about this bug, and saw this post, however when I try to download the SDK and check the release notes page, I only get the old version...

AIR 3.3 is released, and the one on the release page:

    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html

should be 3.3.0.3690. At least it was the other day when I downloaded it! If you're looking in Labs, then you would be finding the last prerelease version.

Of course I'm downloading from that address. Also, when I check the release notes page, I only get the info regarding the old version, however if I browse the cached Google version, I can see the new one.

Did the new version have some bug that made it to be removed? Is it because of my location?

I see that the release notes only mention the 3650 version, but I used the SDK Manager to add the SDK, and in there it seems to think that it's 3690.

There were issues in 3650 that were fixed in 3690. I haven't heard about 3690 being removed.

Checked CS6 SDK manager, and it show 3690 there as well. The problem with the release notes site, and seeing the files being more than 20 days old fooled me I guess. Thanks.

Because this wasn't clear enough for me before actual testing:

I can confirm that the latest release of AIR 3.3 fixes the GPU rendering bug. (Beta 3, iPad 3)

If you are still wondering should you update your device to iOS6 beta...

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air3-4.html#sdk_ios6 fixes my iOS 6.0 GPU render bug on several apps. Only thing is that it says "Adobe AIR 3 (3.4.3010) (Beta Build)" in the top right corner of the app.

    Hi,

Its so because its just a beta build, and you are not allowed to puclish apps using the Beta build.

With the final AIR 3.4 build, the watermark will be gone.

Hi is release 3.3.0.3690 available for download anywhere? I'm having problem packaging my app with 3.4 and it is already on the app store so I need to create an update before a possible 3.4 fix.

    Thanks,

Graphics still disappear from the screen once Imodify their z-ccordinates ! Please help ! Perhaps the problem is solved with 3.4 but I can't use it with my Flash CS-6 because AIR3.4 wont publish for IOS or Android (I get error messages saying there are missiong files, the Android message mentions an "aapt.exe"-file missing).
