Edited photos not saving correctly

Jun 29, 2012 12:18 AM

Sorry about the name. I am new to this program and I tried to join for an hour without success then my hubby took over!!! Now to my serious headache causing problem. After editing photos I saved them to my folder exactly as Adobe Help suggests, in Jpeg format. I can see them in my folder but the icon is blank and Properties suggest they are File format and not Jpeg. What am I doing wrong and how can I correct it...please?

Where are you viewing the file properties? Through the OS? Through the Organizer? Would you be able to post a screen shot?

dj_paige is on to something about your problem -- type in the

after the file name when you save your file.

Sorry no image here. You can’t send a screen shot by email. You need to log-in to the forum and when you click reply, you then click on the little camera icon. Browse to your screenshot, click open, then click upload.

What are your original photos? Are they imported into Elements from a camera?

    How do you edit them?

If you click on the title of your thread “Edited photos not saving correctly” you should see Reply to the right of each posting.

    Can you try an experiment.

    1. Open Full Edit by clicking the edit button on the welcome screen.

    2. On the menu click File à Open

    3. Then open one of your images that has not been edited previously

    4. Make a quick edit e.g. on the menu click Enhance à Auto Levels

    5. Then on the menu click File à Save As

    6. In the save as dialog click the dropdown for Format

    7. Choose jpeg from the list and save.

Let us know if that is working OK.
