I have CS4 Extended. I downloaded the extract plugin from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4047 , downloaded it to the correct folder. But when I run PS I see the filter there but its grayed out, not working. Did download the correct files? If so any suggestions why the plugin isn't working? thx.
You can find a list of the plugins which are no longer supported in PS CS6 here: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/plug-ins-photoshop-cs61.html
They include the ExtractPlus plugin (is that the one you are referring to?)
Edit: oops I see you have CS4. Sorry for the misleading post
The Extract plug-in is not a Universal application, so it requires a Power Mac PPC (pre-Intel machine) or Rosetta PPC emulation to run, neither of which is available to you You must have an Intel Mac, or you couldn't run Snow Leopard 10.6.x and the latter dropped all support for Rosetta. You need to take advantage of the superb capabilities of CS5 or, even better, CS6.
Sorry.
Not in CS4.
But CS5 and, especially, CS6 are GREAT!
