| Import images problem with Lightroom version 2.7, on a Mac OSx. Unable to import from desktop or the download card. . All other functions of the program work. I have tried reinstalling and also using the backup file, with no luck Have over 30,000 images on the program. Is there some sort of limit with this earlier version? |
This happened a few days ago. Importing RAW images via the camera download and importing desktop jpg and tiffs. Camera is a Nikon 300. NOT receiving any kind of error message. When hitting the import button I do not get the lightroom import dialog box, but instead get a box which says IMPORT PHOTOS or LIGHTROOM CATALOGS. I then choose a desktop source, select an image (s) , hit the choose button and nothing happens in the Lightroom program indicating that image(s) are being imported. As mentioned, all other aspects of the program function, develop, print, EXPORT, etc.
Mmmmm, I think the best thing to do would be to remove the Preference file to the desktop with Lightroom closed and restart Lightroom by double clicking on your catalog file (not the Lightroom icon).
The Lightroom prefernce file is in User/Library/Preferences.
Your catalog would be in Pictures/Lightroom if it is in the default location.
That's fine and yes I'm in New Zealand!!![]()
