Forum Changes June 27

Looks like we have several forum changes, starting at about 6:30AM PDT on June 27, 2012.

 

If you are getting odd display (squished text, empty radio buttons, etc.) then try refreshing your browser's cache.

 

Good luck, and this appears to be an on-going process of updating.

    Jeff,

     

    Thank you. I had thought about posting here, but considered that many posters to the CS5/CS6 forum, might encounter issues, and not think to check here, or Forum Comments, I went with the main PrPro Forum.

     

    Appreciated, and wondered where the post went...

    I wonder if someone could post an image of the new look.  I have the empty radio buttons, but otherwise things look good.  I don't want to mess with that if the new look is worse that what I see now (and knowing Adobe, there's a high probability it will be).

    +1 from me.

     

    Now, if we could only get "Last Post," without a little "trickery," and also a way to set Discussions as the constant default for ALL forums... but I dream.

    What trickery do you need to get to the last post?  I simply click on the time under the Last Post heading as I've always done.

    Jim,

     

    At this time, that is the only way that I know of. Several folk have begged for a revitalization of "Last Post" button, but I do not know if the requests will make their way into the skins.

     

    Others have also placed requests for better differentiation between Read and Unread threads in the main forum pages, but some of that might be browser related. I think that you mentioned an add-on for FireFox, that really helped you.

    I think the lyric is written, "..nothing left to lose..."  Lose, not loose.  Loose is what happens when you don't tie your shoelaces tightly enough.

    PS - I can't help being the spelling and grammar police.  I have a t-shirt that reads, "I am the grammarian about whom your mother warned you."  I think it's a treatable condition, but my therapist won't see me anymore.  He didn't like the corrections I made to his notes at the end of my sessions.

    PS - maybe that is how Dylan's nasal Midwestern "twang," sounded to my untrained Southern ear... ? Or maybe I just blew it?

    Hey!  It's not dumb!  I need that rhyme more and more every year.  Unfortunately, it's usually preceded by 35 minutes of:

     

    The Lost Key

    My son used my wrench-of-the-socket

    I can't find it now

    In the toolbox I must remember to lock it

    But I can't figure out how
