After Effects Cs6 Installation Won't Work!

Im am trying to install after effects cs6 but it keeps stopping a 2% and has all these things to make it work, i do everything it says (ive done it about 7 times) and it Still won't work! someone please help!

    Which operating system are you using?  I would recommend starting with utilizing the Adobe Support Advisor at http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to automatically review your installation logs.

     

    Alternately you are welcome to review your log files manually to determine what may be causing your difficulty.  You can find details on how to accomplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5 -cs5.html.

    64 bit, and i had After Effects Cs5.5, but i deleted it, i didn't do any Un-install thing, could that be a problem?

    Yes it most certainly could cause difficulties with future installations.  Which operating system are you using?  Please follow the directions listed in CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation -problems.html.  This will allow you to utilize the normal uninstall process followed by using the Cleaner tool to remove any additional software.  Feel free to respond to this thread if you have any questions about the steps listed within the document.

    I tried to un-install using add or remove programs, and it said installation failed, so i used the Cleaner tool, and it won't go away, help? and i use windows, not sure if it's XP or 7.

    In what way will it not go away?  Are you still able to see After Effects CS6 in Start>All Programs?

     

    Also to help determine which OS you are using you can go to Start>Computer and select Properties.  This should allow you to determine the exact OS you are using.

    I am still able to see After Effects Cs5.5 in Programs, and it won't let me uninstall the program normally, and the cleaner tool won't work, because after i use it it is still there, i reall need this program soon, and i am using Windows 7 Professional.

    Do you receive an error message when you try to remove the software using the Programs and Features Control Panel or when utilizing the Cleaner tool?

    I receive an error message when Uninstalling it in Programs, but with the cleaner tool, it just says it has been completed succesfully, so i go into programs and it is still there, so i restart my computer and it is still there, so i thought it is probably a bug, but then it still won't install.

    Did you try the steps listed in message #2 to review your installation log?  Either the Adobe Support Advisor or a manual review of the install log may help identify what is causing your difficulties.

    How do i review my installation log? all i want to do is Uninstall a program and install another one, why is this so hard?
