We will be using CS6.

Our current workflow is to create all section pages as a group for print, but create individual files and single pages per file across landscape and portrait for iPad

So essentially we want to be able to only use one source of copy across all 3 publications. Is it possible to do that and still be able to copy fit according to the unique layouts across all three publications?

We have custom software to create our iPad magazines and do not use Adobe's tools for that part of the process.

You could use the content collector tools. That will allow you to create a link between the stories.

Use the content collector to copy it to the conveyor and the Content Placer tool to place it in the other layouts. If you update the parent story you’ll get an alert in the child stories.

This makes sense to me. I assume there is no way to use the specific copy fitting tools across all since the layouts can be very different.

But at least this approach will save us making the same copy edits across three documents.
