We downloaded the current version of dreamweaver (cs6) and embedded a flash video on a web page: http://www.psaplanning.com/OurFolio_RecogAPAvid.html (we did not shoot the video)
The current versions of the flash player (11.2 and 11.3) renders the video with the wrong aspect ratio. The horizontal dimension is "squished" down by about 40% and the vertical height is OK.
The video dimensions are exactly the same as the file dimensions, so there is no issue there.
Has anyone seen this issue? This issue also appears when using older versions of dreamweaver i.e., cs3 etc. The videos were fine with the 10.x flash players...but not with the latest versions. We were considering the purchase of cs6 but why bother if the embedded videos (which we are doing more and more of) DONT WORK! Thanks!, Steve K.
I'm afraid this has nothing to do with DW CS6. DW is not a flash player builder. It's web authoring software.
Given that Flash is essentially a dead web technology now, maybe you should focus on HTML5 video.
You'll get better cross browser support from MP4s than you will with FLVs which are not viewable in iPhone, iPad, iTouch, etc...
