I am using Windows 7 64 bit.
I just tried to download Lightroom.
Before it would download, application manager had to perform an update.
After the update nothing will download anymore. When I try to install a program, I get "Installation Failed" message.
"The download appears corrupted. Press Cancel, wait a few minutes and try again. (-60)"
Canceling and waiting doesn't do anything. I even tried changing the application directory in preferences.
Nothing woks. Nothing installs.
Unfortunately that doesn't work either. As I posted in the Lightroom discussion, I tried to download the trial version of Lightroom. The download link doesn't work.
Apparently this is a fairly widespread problem. The Adobe solution is to use a different browser.
That is not an option since we can only use Internet Explorer at work.
It baffles me that downloads don't seem to work with Internet Explorer arguably the most used Internet client.
And yes I have everything turned off as far as addins and security.
If only Adobe would provide a simple link to downloads, it would be extremely easy to use and Adobe would not have to handle all these complaints.
I don't have problems downloading software from any other web site, only Adobes.
Sorry for the rant, but it is frustrating that something that should be so simple seems to always cause problems lately with Adobe.
OK no thanks to Adobe support, I was able to download the trial version of Lightroom.
Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be a good work around for the broken Application Manger since the trial version of Lightroom will not register with an Adobe ID.
So if the Creative Cloud Application Manager doesn't work and the trial version is incompatible with registering through my Adobe ID, how do I use Lightroom long term?
