Fonts on 3.5 floppy

I have had these fonts for years and now I want to know if I have to repurchase in install on windows 7

 

ITC Benquiat and Fritz Quadrata

    What font type it is ?? and from have you bought these font ?

    Purchased directly from Adobe on 3.5 floppy back in 1984.

    Has served me well from Windows 98 through Windows XP until now with

    Windows 7 it does not know what to do with them.

    They are probably legacy Type 1/ Type 3 PostScript fonts. Windows should normally recognize them, but if it doesn't, then chances are they are indeed to old. anyway, I probably wouldn't bother to begin with. These fonts have no doubt been updated and refined over the years to include OpenType features for glyph substitution and otehr specialties and more critically, your old fonts would probably show any number of abnormalities like garbled characters, so you would probably do yourself a favor just buying the updated versions on MyFonts or wherever.
