Large grey box hiding the rest of the screen in CS6

I  believe that this is how Dreamweaver has looked on Windows for a while and has made me pleased to be using Dreamweaver on the Mac.  However, now I have upgraded to CS6 I find that my screen is taken up by a large inpenetrable grey box.  When I reduce the size of the current web page that I am editing there is a grey, backgound area.  Previously I could see the rest of my desktop which made it handy to refer to/copy from other applications such as web browser, email etc.  Now, in order to achieve the same result I have to carefully size and position the web page I am editing, then carefully size and position the other application page I am referring to then bring DW to the front, then bring the other app to the front (using cmd & tab) and then I can click on the web page I am editing referring to both screens.  If I click on any other part of the DW screens (such as the grey box - easily done as it is so huge!) then I have to resequence all my screens again.

By the way I do not want to minimise the DW screen as I may want to access the various tools within the various DW panels (which, of course, makes the other app screen disappear).  Once again this is a really frustrating 'feature' that seems to have been added for no justifiable reason.

    Try Window > Application Frame

Some people love hiding the desktop Windows-style. Others loathe it.

No, it's new to Dreamweaver CS6. You might have heard about the Application Frame which was introduced in other Adobe programs in CS5 or CS5.5.
