Linking buttons to a specific page

Jun 29, 2012 4:17 PM

I currently have a 760 powerpoint slide that I'm transitioning in to DPS. I designed it like a website where it has buttons that is linked to specific slides. In powerpoint if you add a page in between slides the link is also updated. For example, if I created a button that is linked to page 251, if I add a slide between slide 200 and 201, the button that I created that was linked 251 will update to 252. Since Go To Destination feature is not supported in DPS. How to I make the buttons link to the appropriate page when I add a page in between. I hope it make sense...

Depends on how you're doing it. Links to articles will remain intact, but if you add a page to the middle of an article you'll need to recreate the navto links for every page past where the new page was inserted.

This sounds more like a job for PowerPoint than DPS. Why not just leave them in PP?

If you use a Link to Page hyperlink instead of the "navto://" URL, it will get updated whenever you insert a slide or change the slides order.
