What is the way to edit a font?! and what software is needed?!

Hi,

 

What software do I need to edit or create a font?!

 

I have the whole Adobe arsenal, but can't find information about it on the Adobe forums.

 

I see a lot of font editors online, but it's hard to recognize what's fake or good stuff.

 

Please some good advice.

    Like Larry says, FontLab Studio is good although its interface is dissimilar to (cludgier than) Illustrator's and takes a bit of getting used to.

     

    You can easily paste drawings from Illustrator.

    It's necessary to include temporary ascender and descender height marks on all characters so that they align properly with each other.

    Go to FontLab.com. Buy a copy of Fontographer. Clean, easy interface. Will do everything you need and then some.
