This just started happening - I have a new mac 27" with an extended keyboard, I reinstalled InDesign as migration from the old mac to new didn't transfer it properly. Everythng was fine yesterday, but this morning the command key just won't respond when I'm using InDesign but all keys work as normal in every other program. I've trashed the preferences and it didn't help. Should I also reboot or is there something else I can do?

Migration tool is never been the recommended way to move the application from one computer to other .

Install the Indesign properly and then all of your problem should be sorted out.

Did you attempt to migrate a keyboard shortcut set from an earlier version?

Copy the shorcut set from your user library in one version and paste itintothe new version. It's not a good idea wuith versions after CS4, and it can casue exactly waht you are describing.

You do NOT want to replace the default set. The default set cannot be edited -- you must create a new custom set if you want changes. \

What did you replace the default .indk file with?

I saw you started a new thread, but now it's gone. Where do you stand on this now?
