How do I edit New Document size presets?

I thought this was going to be a silly question. But apparently after searching the web. It's more of a unique question that nobody has an answer for.

When I go to create a new Document in Illustrator I'll select a default document type like : Mobile and Devices. Then I go down to the different sizes and bam. The problem. I can't pick a default size that "I" want to use. Yes there are preset sizes but none of them are the ones I want to use. Ok there has to be a text file or something that lets me edit/add new document sizes to illustrator. It shouldn't be this hard. I don't own CS6. I'm on an older version of Illustrator right now. I don't know if you guys fixed this in CS6. But it should be like photoshop or indesign. Why it's different baffles me.

This is a JDI if there ever is one. Make all presets in all programs the same (editing wise) and if possible make a preset manager that allows for one preset to be added or edited and all apps see these presets.

I'm using CS5 and there are 9 size presets for Mobile and Devices in Illustrator while Photoshop has only 5 size presets which are all included in the Illustrator presets.

Regardless of what your version has, you should be able to create you own "New Document Profile" with any size you like.

For example, choose File>New and in the New Document dialog choose Mobile and Devices, for Width and Height enter the size you like, press OK, and save the new document with a name like "Mobile and Devices my favorite size" in the location on your hard drive where the other new document profiles are. On Windows this is: C:\Users\You\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings\en_US\New Document Profiles

Next time you choose File > New, your preset will be listed in the "New Document Profile" menu.
