Playing a swf file within a Flash Catalyst project

I've added videos to Catalyst projects sucessfully, but my current project requires that a swf file (created in Flash CS5) play when the Catalyst projcect starts, then on click go to another state.

 

The swf within plays when I run the project, but not when I upload the project, and I can't find any reason for this not to be working!

 

This is a CS5 Catalyst project, and I'm hoping somebody can see what I'm missing.

    When I access the webpage in Chrome, then access the developer tools, I get this error

    Uncaught ReferenceError: swfobject is not defined

     

    I think this might be the source of your issue.

    Chris,

     

    Thank you so much for looking at this!

     

    Unfortunately, I don't know what to do with this information. Is this something I fix within Catalyst, or something in the code on the page (which I will have to pass on to the person who does that part of the project)?

    It appears to be something in the html code and not the catalyst file.

     

    Have you tried uploading just your Flash Catalyst project to a sub directory?

    I apologize for being dense, but I’m not sure what you are suggesting. Here’s a screenshot of the directory in Dreamweaver:

    There is no screen shot.   You are going to have to sit down with your co-worker to look over this issue.

    Chris, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. My co-worked edited the code on the webpage, and it now works as planned.
