Business Catalyst Panel in Dreamweaver 6

I am having trouble getting the Business Catalyst panel in Dreamweaver CS6 to work. The panel works just fine on another computer using Dreamweaver CS 5.5, but I cannot get CS6 to show any of the standard BC panel elements. I've tried the few solutions suggested in the forum, but I have to resort to sticking with Dreamweaver 5.5 to work with Business Catalyst sites.

It appears that this subject has been covered for several months. Is there a fix for Dreamweaver CS6?

Dreamweaver CS6 - Mac

Dreamweaver CS 5.5 - Windows

Thanks.

Your CS6 on a Mac should work just fine. I use it on a Mac desktop and Macbook Air just fine. Just out of curiosity, did you install the BC extension in CS6? If so, then remove it. You don't need the extension in CS6. To get the panel to show eveything a couple things must happen:

1: You must have a BC page open

2: You must be logged into BC

3: Only elements supported by the current plan will show up in the panel

    Yeah the CS5 was a typo ;-)

But removing that extension will likely fix your problem.

Ah, okay. What that tells me is you may not have set up your website properly in CS6. What I am guessing happened is you set it up the old way using the extension?

My next suggestion would be to delete the site from your Site definitions.

Sites -> Manage Sites -> (Select the site you are having problems with) -> then click on the '-' in the bottom left corner.

Then you need to import the site from the site manager - not from the extension like you used to do.

Use the Import Business Catalyst Site button in the site manager and that should properly set up your site in CS6.
