I can't complete the first challenge (Mission One) - I loaded the sample file, used the Red Eye Tool, but when I save the file nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to use another image or save it at a special location? System: Mac OS 10.7.4 Photoshop CS6 Extended
To help us troubleshoot, could you supply the following details?
- Operating system (please include specific minor version numbers; for example, "Mac OSX v10.6.8")
- If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?
- At what point in mission 1 does the game stop functioning? Please describe in detail.
- What other software are you running?
Of course I will help:
2xM,
Thanks for trying out Level Up for Photoshop. Sorry to hear that the game is not working well for you.
When you installed the panel and put in your name, did you get a popup that told you won the 1st time login badge and gave you the option of sharing on facebook and twitter?
Thanks!
Mira
Hi everyone,
i've got the same problem over here ![]()
Except that i'm using a Windows PC with CS6...
I've received my 20 Points for the registration but i cannot finish mission 1.
I also reinstalled the extension without success.
Do you have any further suggestions? Maybe removing all config. from the LevelUp Tool and start over?
Best regards
I'm another one piling on with the same problem. I registered, got the first-time login badge, didn't do further sharing. I opened the sample image, fixed the red-eye, and saved in the default location. Nothing happened in the "Level Up" panel.
I'm running Win7 Pro 64-bit, CS5 64-bit. I haven't tried "Level Up" on CS5 32-bit.

It's hard to tell without watching you play the game, but here's one possible cause:
If you click on "Yes" when you are asked if you are happy with the results, the game will move on. But if you click on "I could do better," the panel displays help links to learn more, and it assumes you want to repeat the level.
In my case, I'm never asked if I'm "happy" or "I could do better". Here's the Level Up panel after saving my file:
Just the same as it was before I saved it!

p.s. I just watched the video Martin ("2xM") linked to in an earlier post to this thread. The behavior there is the same that I'm seeing on my Win7 system.
If you need me/us to test something specific... just tell me ![]()
And btw - my system specs are Win7 64bit with CS6 64bit both fully patched. I also tried the 32bit (ps) edition without success.
I dont get any error message and no question if i'm happy or what so ever.
It's like Don McKee wrote - it seems like the game stops working. Except, that i can repeat the mission over and over again.
The tool just dont realize, that i did the right thing.
It's so crazy! Our stats tell us that 93% successfully complete the first mission. Since some people no doubt voluntarily quit the game before the first mission ends, that means a pretty small percentage of people are having this problem.
I know that's no comfort to you, the ones having the issue, but just wanted to let you know.
When there's a new version of the game panel, we'll let you know and would appreciate it if you could try it and see if the problem persists.
I would like to start over with a different user name/email address. How can I make the game "log me off"? Where on my Win7 system is the game's state being saved?
I want to pay close attention to the choices that I made in the beginning, and perhaps make some different ones this time, to see if that has any effect.

Ok, thanks for the info.
Is there maybe i chance to reset the game? When i reinstall it, the game remembers my email and name.
Since its an flash application i thought it would use some flash cookies to store these info?
Hmm... but i'm able to fine the .sol file? Also nothing in the reg.?
@Don McKee: you can click on the name or just beside it. In my case i then can edit the name + email field.
Hi all,
If any of your are interested in helping us debug this problem further, please send me a private message with your availability and time zone. I will schedule a 1-on-1 phone call and we can give you a newer version of the game to check whether we have fixed this problem.
Thanks!
Mira
