You scream at Adobe for making things only forward compatible and not following Microsoft's lead where you can save to lower versions.
Sorry, but dem's da breaks. You cannot share that way, You can open version 5 files using Captivate 6, but unless you have a backup, those version 5 files cannot be opened again in version 5.
When an upgrade occurs and you need to share the workload, everyone involved must upgrade or face the situation you are in.

And I'm always cursing Microsoft because it is not possible to have multiple versions of their applications on my laptop. This is also very annoying, having to teach both MS Project 2007 and 2010, cannot afford two laptops. At least I can have CP4, 5, 5.5, 6 and a bunch of Photoshop versions installed on same system.

I thought Mickey$oft allowed multiple versions on the same PC, Actually, it's what we recommend to folks with RoboHelp and Word issues. Just install the different versions in different folders.
