Installing CS6 Master Collection Kills the Help Manager

Jul 3, 2012 4:35 PM

I installed CS6 Master Collection on two computers. Now local help is no longer available. The Help Manage does open, but all I have are the help config settings, via the About menu, and nothing else (No other windows,et al):

- General Settings

- Download Preferences

- Updater Settings

- Local Content

- About = Version 4.0.0.244

None of the above windows are interactively configurable.Settings are inactive

Not haveing app help is either local or online is a huge loss. What should I do?

Hi Pete:  are you able to see the local help in your browser?  We changed the default behavior in CS6 to display all help (online and offline) in your system browser.  The AIR-based Help Manager is now a simplified content installation and download utility.  See our technote for more changes and information: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/community-help.html
