Hello: OS: Windows 7 Home 64bit
I have made a copy of a circle of which I need to remove the Fill and Stroke.
I have clicked the thumbnails, on the Tools panel, of the Fill & Stroke to set to None but this didn't remove either in my copy.
I have checked under each and every Menu option and I have checked in the F&S panel itself to no avail.
Could you please explain how I go about removing the F&S of a copy?
Oh, also ... in Illustrator is a Copy the same as a Duplicate?

Hello Silkrooster:
I am sorry, I forgot to mention that this attempt is only my third time opening Illustrator and I am working on my first tutorial.
No, I had forgotten to select the circle first. So, thank you for that reminder.
I have been using Photoshop CS6 for about three months now and for about three months before that I had been using Gimp & Inkscape. So, between the multiple program confusion, being quite new to such software and computers in general and knowing just a little about a little I can at times over look the obvious.
I would post a screen shot but my computers Print Screen key is not working any more or the caps lock for that matter. Going out shopping for a new laptop is on my to do list ... daunting as it is
... is screen shot what you meant by screen grab?? don't laugh at me .... heee heee
Thank you for your time!!
It's actually beyond my thinking straight hour. Off to rest but I'll check back tomarrow night ... probably late as it's a holiday

Hello there Silkrooster ...
Well, I have no idea where in the world you are but it's the 4th of July/Independence day ... in case you're outside of the USA
Just wanted to stop by to let you know that I haven't had a chance to get back to things today but I'll be back 2mar.
In the interim can you tell me how to scale an object proportionately? In other programs I hold the Ctrl + Shift keys and drag down a corner so that all sides are pulled in equally.
Is there an online manual for Illustrator?
Well, off to see the fireworks.

I should correct that, place the cursor over any anchor and the shift key will scale proportionately using the opposite anchor.
Holding shift+alt will scale from the center when placing the cursor over any anchor.
Just want to make it clear that you don't have to use a corner anchor when scaling. Thats kind of why the shift key is required. (don't really know the true reason, but thats my guess...)

Hey there Silkrooster ... my apologies as I had forgotten about this post. I was just looking through my history as I don't like to leave anyone hanging.
Most of all awesome folks like yourself that take the time to help out.
I live in Maine. I moved from the "city" to a small country town about 5 yrs ago. I like it but I often miss the city.
Are you in NY NY?
Well, just wanted to pop in here for a quick second and to make sure I gave out the proper kudos.
Hope all is well with you.
I'm still trying to figure out those dang "smart objects" lol
