Why would indesign automatically move links to the pasteboard

Jul 4, 2012 7:46 AM

Hello There,

Has anyone had an issue when working in indesign with alot of eps images, text and vector graphics, where the while working the various links on various pages show that they are on the page.

But when going to the link in the links panel the link says its on the "PB" pasteboard?

Your urgent response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I never use EPS so I can’t really say, but you’d still need to provide far more details.

You can start with the version of ID and O/S. Some screenshots wouldn’t hurt, either.

It would be a lot clearer if you selected the objects on the page so they were highlighted in the panel....

@Matthew – did you inspect the file on a different machine? Perhaps with OSX 10.6.8?
Did you export the file to IDML and opened that for investigation?

As you can see the links show everything on pg4 are on the doc but from there to pg 12 is saying the links are on the pasteboard.

Could the pasteboard objects be copies of objects on pages? There are 658 links listed.

    For example:
