I updated to cs6 64 bit. but when I run bridge cs6 64 bit, it says it is cs5 version. discovered this when I was editing a image: IMAGE WAS in process 2012 AND IT SAID I HAD TO CONVERT TO
PROCESS 2010.
HOW CAN I GET PHOTOSHOP TO LOAD THE CORRECT VERSION?

Sounds like you are talking about Adobe Camera Raw not PS. And yes ACR 7.x now uses processess 2012 rather than 2010.
No I believe I'm having the same problem that the first user is having. Loading Bridge 64 CS6 from it's directory, loads the older CS5 even says so in the programs about. I don't want to remove CS5 until I have CS6 running as I want.
Edit:
Ok I have discovered the problem. If in the Bridge CS5 preferences you have it set to load at start up, it will and anytime you try to load Bridge CS6 it'll load instead. Clicking this to off and closing the program (make sure it's not running in the system tray), and I set Bridge CS6 to load at startup. Works like a charm. Hopefully this will help the original poster.

If you remove CS5 now you run the risk of fouling up file associations. Everything may want to open in CS5, which is gone. Not something that can not be fixed but it is a little messy.
So unless your really need the HD space most leave it on. Also, can never tell you might need CS5 for backup use if CS6 wonks out.
