How can I add audio to a multi-state object slideshow?

Jul 4, 2012 8:46 AM

I'm completely new to all this, so I might not have worded that correctly.

I have three pictures that I have created a object state slideshow with. Each picture has the other two pictures in a smaller form as buttons so the user can tap on those to bring up that picture.

All my picture are of animals and I'd like to attach a button to the main picture that will play an audio track of that animal's sound.

But every time I add the audio to the state, the small pictures that I used for buttons stop working.

What is the deal? Please help.

    Hi there

On the audio clip have you added the specific clip to the state it relates to?

to do this - select both the audio clip and the state it relates to and in your object state panel click "add objects to visible state"

Also have you specified audio controller files?

all you need for them is a folder that contains two .png files

    one called play.png

    one called pause.png

these could be anything you want - make them around 60x60px and like an icon of somekind... using these files lets your user control the play and pause of the audio

You specify these in the the overlay creator and it works real good!

Ah fantastic!! that's the best way to add buttons! - then they're unintrusive to your content anyway!! Glad you got it figured!!
