This just started happening - I have a new mac 27" with an extended keyboard, I reinstalled InDesign as migration from the old mac to new didn't transfer it properly. Everythng was fine yesterday, but this morning the command key just won't respond when I'm using InDesign but all keys work as normal in every other program. I've trashed the preferences and it didn't help. Should I also reboot or is there something else I can do?
So restarting didn't work.
Eventually found that I had to manually rebuild the Keyboard Shortcuts - which I've never had to do and didn't when I first installed 5.5 over a year ago - got most things back but now cannot get the 'enter' button to work. Is there somewhere I can get a default settings file and where do I put it in the system to make it work?
I resolved the issue by reinstalling AGAIN - just puzzled why it happened in the first place, I lost at least half a day trying to sort it out, not to mention spent twice as much time doing jobs because the shortcuts weren't there. I deleted the post because I got frustrated, then just reinstalled, crossing my fingers.
