Cloud Problems

I have the membership, Illustrator keeps crashing.  Never had that problem before using full versions.  Also, it seems that every day I have to renew membership.  PC Windows 7 Ultimate

    Hi Chebly9,

     

    If the behavior is limited to just Illustrator (other CS6 products work okay) I would just try some general troubleshooting related to illustrator specifically.

     

    Questions:

     

    Do you get any kind of an error when Illustrator crashes?

    Does the crash seem to be triggered when performing any specific step in Illustrator?

    What things have you tried already to fix the issue?

     

    I would start out by recreating the Illustrator preferences.

     

    • Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Illustrator. Your current settings are deleted.
    • Remove or rename the AIPrefs file (Windows)

     

    They should be located at

     

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 Settings

     

    Note: AppData is a hidden directory

     

    There was a known issue related to having to renew your membership, there was an update to the Adobe Application Manager very recently that should fix this and make it not necessary anymore.

    Dave, I'm also havng the same problem with Illustrator. Just started over the past few days. In addition, Acrobat X won't come up at all, some kind of error -- 130:11 -- if that means anything. Finally, InDesign is asking me to log in everytime I bring it up, but comes up after I dismess the window (So far).

    So maybe the fix is causing problems.

    All seem to be working now, Nothing freezes  (at least for the last few weeks) – and I don’t have to register every day.
