I was recently prompted to download flash player 11.3.300.257 for a computer using Windows 7 and IE 64-bit. I never had trouble with videos before the install. After the install, I couldn't view videos embedded in web pages. I tried all the fixes on the Adobe troubleshooting page with no success. When I click on the video (which is typically blank), the audio will play but not the video. Any ideas?
My experience exactly! My set-up is identical to yours.
Unfortunately reading through the forum pages with their proffered solutions
is unenlightening unless you're prepared to spend many hours twiddling and tweaking
your PC. I lost patience seveeral days ago. Have tried re-installing a previous version,
but that doesn't work now either.
I followed the instructions on this post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4506372#4506372) and then installed version 10. Looks like it worked.
Thanks for your post copied to my mailbox. Unfortunately I was unable to replicate your success with Flash 10.3. Actually, the version I apparently found was 10.1.3. XXX (?).
Have installed/uninstalled this software now more times than I've had hot dinners, and am
at the edge of my competence. If I go any further I feel I may 'mess up' big time. I suspect the web community is not particularly thrilled with Adobe at the moment.
