InDesign CS6 Design & Web Premium

I am trying out CS6 design & web (previously only used for print) especially after hearing all of the great app improvements and would really like to use pdf's and take advantage of the pinch to zoom. But I can not find a way to test this and be able to show publisher to get approval for purchase. I have been looking all over the forums and tutorials but can't seem to locate the right documentation. Can anyone help?

    I'm assuming this is a DPS question...if not, please let me know and I'll move it back to the InDesign forum.

     

    Can you be a bit more specific about what you want to do? You can most certainly test out pinch and zoom for DPS with the Adobe Content Viewer.

    I followed the instructions to create the pdf placed in on both horizontal and vertical files but not sure where to turn on the pinch and zoom. In the overlays I only see pan and zoom.

    I did see where in the builder you can turn this on before distributing but not to just preview

    If you create the folio as PDF format it will enable pinch and zoom in the Adobe Content Viewer.

     

     

     

    For right now, my first piece of advice is to log into digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and read all of the documentation there before going any further.

     

     

     

    BTW, how much InDesign experience do you have?

    I have been going through the documentation and trying out the different tutorials and am understanding quite well just got a little stumped when this did not work. I thought I turned this on in the when creating the folio but will try again if that is all it takes. I thought maybe it was the way I created the pdf.

     

    I have pdf files created for our magazine using ID CS5.5 so I went back and created again in ID CS6 just ot be sure. I will give this a shot again

     

    I can already see the advantages of purchasing this upgrade and how it could make my life a lot easier.

     

    I switched to using InDesign years ago when frist released. Much prefer over Quark, Pagemaker and all

    I think you’re confused.

     

     

     

    You don’t use PDFs, you create your layout in InDesign and then import that into a folio as an article. You choose the default graphic format for the folio but you can override that with the article.

    Thanks Bob, I guess I just needed some assurance I was doing the right thing. I went back through and carefully created everything again and it worked.

    That is what I was doing wrong. I went back to that section again and with in a minute had it working

    Thanks ofr the advice. I have been going through the documents and have understood everything up to this. Just stumped me. Now I can build by app pretty quickly with this and move to purchase everything needed to publish.

     

    Thanks to one of your turtorials already got the apple certification and working on others.
