And on what system exactly? What do you do in AE? This could just be a background instance from MP rendering, the warp stabilizer or the 3D tracker that has lost connection to the master instance. Nothing new, actually. It's not correct and expected behavior, but this has occasionally been reported for older versions of AE as well. Anyway, without any more info, a screenshot of your task manager with AE running and one more after shutdown and so on, nobody can even begin to take a guess where this is coming from.
