CS5 crippled by CS6

Long LONGtime user of Fireworks (since Macromedia) downloaded CS6 trial, but it would not display the color selection box (not for fill, not for type color). Went back to CS5 and discovered it, too, was refusing to display color selectors. Long story short, had to uninstall both, go to Adobe and download a fresh copy of CS5 and that's what I'm going to stick with. Didn't really see much at all to crave in FW6 anyway. Mac OS 10.6.8, iMac.
