Jpeg upload to remote server

Jul 7, 2012 12:42 AM

I am having trouble uploading my Jpeg images to the remote server. All the text uploads fine but the Jpegs resize themselves and are not able to be seen. Can anyone help?

    Not sure what you mean.

Can you elaborate? Perhaps with an example?

It sounds as though you are one of the unlucky group of people with an FTP problem that affects only some users of DW CS6. Take at look at this thread. It's a very long thread, but you'll see in the second item that Adobe is working on a patch for this problem. It has details of how you can obtain an early version of the patch to see if it solves your problem.

Take David's suggestion or use a real FTP program for all your file transfers.

    Filezilla is a good freebee:

    http://filezilla-project.org/

or SmartFTP (my choice) for a small cost:

    http://www.smartftp.com/

both are very powerful, versatile, and very trouble free.

    Best wishes,

Well if it happens with Filezilla, then either your FTP settings are wrong or there are issues with the Web host server and/or hosting account limitations.

Have you discussed the problem with your hosting service? Are there file size limits?

This doesn't sound like anything related to DreamWeaver, since you say the same thing happens with Filezilla.

    Best wishes,
