Download help for trial photoshop for basic macbook

I have a basic macbook that I purchased new in 2011.  When I downloaded the trial adobe photoshop, the download assistant icon appeared on the desktop screen, but then nothing else happened.  What should I do next?

    Normally, the Download Assistant shoudl have launched automatically.

     

    You now have two options:

    1. Launch Adobe Download Assistant, sign-in if prompted, and the download shoudl start

    2. Go back to the Photoshop download page and restart the download process. This time it won't redownload the ADA but proceed with downloading Photoshop.

     

    Let is know if you were able to download Photoshop.
