Sounds like you have built your site using frames. That's how frames work, Consider rebuilding the site without frames. Send a link to your site if you want us to take a look.

Could very well be exactly what bregent mentioned.

Also:

I host my site on in Dropbox

So you don't really have a Web host? you are only storing your site files on DropBox? or am I missing something?

Adninjastrator, lots of folks use DropBox as a web host solution. It can't support server side scripting and there are probably other limitations, but it's free and it does work.

Well I learn something new every day!!

I've used Dropbox for a number of years but never envisioned using it to host a Web site.

But is it really hosting the site or just being used as a storage facility... by that I mean in order to view the site, site visitors also need to have Dropbox installed?

I use DropBox to host my site with it's limitations. It's dated but I plan to modernize it. I did create it using frames, ergo the suggestion as to why I don't see unique urls when linking to other sites. I know there are more flexible web alternatives but for now I'm on a budget. I just don't recall this url behavior prior to moving my site from iDisk to DropBox.

No, Any file that you put in the public folder is viewable by anyone via url. They don't need dropbox installed or an account.

Looks like Dropbox is discontinuing the Public folder for new accounts

https://www.dropbox.com/help/16/en

"Please note: new accounts created after July 31st, 2012 will no longer have a Public folder. Don't worry! Every account created prior to this date keeps its Public folder, and the functionality does not change. Also note that creating a folder named "Public" in new accounts will not replicate the old functionality of the Public folder."

Wonder what that means for those who want to host sites with them in future.

As mentioned earlier, the "only one URL" problem is because you are using an iframe to display your site... in other words, you are displaying a "picture" of your Web site at this URL

http:eastcoastyachtclub.net

but that's really not the URL of your page. That URL is the URL used in the iframe:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15289336/ecyachtclub/index.html

You'll notice that link URLs are displayed just fine using that URL. It's the iframe that provides sort of a window inside the Web page displayed at:

http:eastcoastyachtclub.net
