Yeah when I open the pdf that I made using InDesign the identity in the pdf prefrences is "my name." Also when I post little sticky notes in the pdf you can see my name in the notes. This pdf is not meant for personal use, so it's really annoying. I need to know how to change it.
I think this is an issue not with InDesign, but with either Acrobat or Adobe Reader. Can you try changing your identity in whatever you are using (Acrobat/Adobe Reader) to put notes in? This should be in Preferences under "Identity".
Yeah, this is an issue with your identity not in InDesign, but in Adobe Reader. Try changing your identity in Preferences (Edit > Preferences) under the Identity tab.
Actually I figured it out guys. I sent the pdf to my mum and had her open it and check the identity. it's no longer my identity in there but hers. I appreciate yall trying to help though!
The identity of a document doesn't depend on who creates the document. What you see at the top of the sticky note is going to be different depending on who made it. Identities are unique to computers, and can be changed in Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
Are you saying the notes will stil display MY NAME on other computers? My moms adobe reader isn't as updated as mine so it didn't have the notes feature, but we went into the prefrences to check the identity there and it said her name and not mine.
Just out of curiosity, whose name did you want to appear in the sticky notes? The purpose for showing a name is so during the review process the editor or designer can tell who is making the comments.
