Hi can enyone help .. I've just downloaded a Service Manual for my Bike, in German (Handy) and want to translate it into English.

Tried copying the entire doc into Google Translate, but it is too large ...

Is there anyway to cut and paste sections of thu text ... Tried Highlighting single pages, which works, then right click but nothing apart from COPY ... Tried this but the entire file and not the one page was copied to my download folder  .. I'm using Adobe Reader with Windows Vista .. Cheers Keith.

Try this tool: http://translate.google.com/?tr=f&hl=en. It should allow you to upload a PDF and translate it to whatever language you want.

However, don't expect a first quality translation...

The easiest would be to look on the manufacturer's website for an original English document.  If it is an international company, they will likely have an English version of the document.

If that fails, you could save the document as text, then use that to translater portions of it.  But as Claudio writes, don't expect too much; especially technical translations can end up with very confusing results.

    Learn some German, perhaps...?
