Captivate 6 and PowerPoint Animations

Jun 24, 2012 8:56 PM

I'm having trouble importing PowerPoint animations into Captivate 6. Some animations are running backwards. For instance, I have some fly-in animations that move from right to left in PowerPoint, but when I import them into Captivate 6 they run left to right. Not all animations do this, but at least one animation in every PowerPoint I've tried to import does have this problem.

Has anyone else experienced this or am I simply doing something wrong?

Dan

    Hi Dan

Can you please send a test file having the problematic slide to rahuls@adobe.com<mailto:rahuls@adobe.com> . Also let me know if you are using the new “High Fidelity” option?.

    Regards

    Rahul

    Hi Dan,

I tried replicating your scenario. But works fine for me.

Is the import done with High Fidelity checked?

Could you please share the cptx as well as PowerPoint file (pptx/ppt) with me so that we can figure out the problem.

You can send it to nitikuma@adobe.com

    Thanks & Regards,

I am also having problems with importing SmartArt into Captivate 6, it does come in but then its all blurry and runs in a continious loop? so the animation kind of works but keeps looping until I click to advance the slide. weird and not very usable

We are having the same looping issue with both PPTX 2007 and PPTX 2010. We did the High Fidelity import. And, the crazy part about the continuous loop is that not all animations are doing the loop. Only some of the animations, and it seems to be on the ones where we've delted and added it back in hopes of fixing the loop issue. Any thoughts?
