Starling Frame Work Flash CS6

Hey guys I recently upgraded to flash cs6 to improve the performance of my IOS game.

Basically i've run into a problem, I have no idea how to set up a project with the Starling framework.

The only tutorials I've come across are for Flash Builder 4.6 and the like. (I do not want to use anything other than Flash CS6)

I basically just really want to take advantage of sprite sheets to improve my game's performance.

Thank you guys!

Edit: Also sorry all, not sure if it matters but it's for an IOS app.

    Hello,

Here's how you setup the Starling framework for Flash Professional CS6:

    1. If you haven't already done so, download and unzip Starling  (to an accessible location on your system) from http://gamua.com/starling/.
    2. Launch Flash Professional CS6.
    3. In Flash Professional CS6, go to File > ActionScript Settings... > click the Library Path tab on the Advanced ActionScript 3.0 Settings dialog.
    4. Click theplusbutton.png button to add a new Library path.
    5. Enter the path to the location where you unzipped Starling or browse to the location by clicking thebrowsebutton.png button.
    6. Click Ok.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Suhas Yogin

    Hi,

Yes, it is that simple and mapping Starling framework is sufficient. You can begin coding (import classes, etc.) rightaway and Flash will also facilitate code-hinting!
