Hello all, I have successfully modified the fireworks msi in orca so that it does not set fireworks as the default viewer/editor for jpeg, bmp etc as the image shows.
However, there is nothing there for png files and we don't want fireworks as the default for these files. Is there anywhere in Orca I can edit to exclude png or all image files in general or could I create an mst file to include this. If so, what program can I use to create the mst?
Thanks
David
Hi Linda, thanks for that. I know I can do it that way, but we have Fireworks installed across a network, so that would mean that I would have to visit every PC and change this by hand, which is not practical. I have tried changing this in Group Policy too, but Windows Photo Viewer is a dll file not a program, and Group Policy doesn't like that as it needs to be an exe. The best I have got, is to associate it via GP so that it opens in MS Paint. I was hoping to change the file association in the Fireworks installer itself and therefore, nothing would have needed to be done in Group Policy, but it looks as though this isn't going to be the case.

OK. I think that's a problem for Adobe tech support rather than a user to user forum like this one. In case you don't have that link, its http://helpx.adobe.com/contact/
