OpenGL on secondary GPU?

Jul 11, 2012 12:23 PM

I've recently installed the Elemend 3D plugin which is dependent on OpenGL to render.

The card that runs my displays ( x3 ) is an ATI Radeon HD 5870 with 1gb vram. It does a servicable job at powering this plugin.

As a secondary CUDA card for the built-in raytracer in CS6 and Mercury playback in Premiere Pro I have a Quadro 4000. This card renders the Element 3D plugin much faster if I plug the main display into it to utilize OpenGL.

In After Effects, it seems OpenGL can only be used off of the primary GPU ( the one with a display plugged in ). Here's a screenshot.

I wanted to know if there was a way to keep my displays plugged into the ATI card and still have AE use the Quadro for OpenGL rendering, similar to how it does with CUDA.

For reference, here's my system specs:

Thank you.
