Please try the following steps to verify there is no problems with your host file.

    Checking the host file

Windows 32 bit and 64 bit

    1. Locate the hosts file.
    2. Click Start, click Run, type "%systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc" and then click OK.
    3. Right-click the file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
    4. Save a backup of the file. Choose File > Save As. Name the file hosts.backup and click OK.
    5. Find 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com and delete this entry.
    6. Save the file and close it.
    7. Create the default hosts file:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034 for instructions.

    Mac OS X

    1. Open a  Finder window. Choose Go > Go To Folder.
    2. Type  "/etc" (make sure that the customer is logged on as an administrator).
    3. Select the hosts file and open it.
    4. Have the customer look for the entry 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com and delete this text
    5. Save the file and close it.

Mike I have removed your personal information from your responses as this is a public forum.

The other option then is that you maybe utilizing a software firewall which can be preventing the PDApp.exe from accessing the Internet.
