Dreamweaver and system recovery

Hello,

I've been having issues with my computer and viruses/infections and have been getting to the point where I'm considering doing a system recovery to fix it.

The question I have is if I do go through with it will I need to do anything special for Dreamweaver, Photoshop, other Adobe software? I'm not too computer savvy when it comes to these things, but I'm wondering if I do this am I throwing a few hundred dollars down the drain or can I insert the Adobe Creative Suite CD and start anew?

The only files I have were from previous web design class that I have moved on from so I could backup those onto a USB if I have to/can. I apologize if these questions come off as ignorant, but I'm rather green on the matter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before doing a system recovery, I would suggest deactivating your Creative Suite programs. If they were installed as a suite, deactivating one should deactivate them all. Make sure you're connected to the internet, and then select Help > Deactivate in Dreamweaver.

After finishing the system restore, reinstall the Creative Suite and activate.

If you can still run DW on your current system, you might wish to export your

site definitions (.STE files) to a safe place before reformatting.

    Good suggestion.
