Premiere CS6 Cannot Install

Tags: #error #pro #premiere #code #exit #cs6 #installation

I've been trying for about 4 hours now to install the Premiere Pro trial for a project I took over that was previously edited with Premiere.  The thing is, I had it installed earlier with about 12 days left on the trial and I decided to take a look at the CS6 version of After Effects from the Production Suite since I'm likely going to purchase the suite instead of the standalone program.  Stupidly perhaps, I uninstalled Premiere so that I could run the Production installation clean, but now I'm flooded with errors on Premiere installation and it says it could not be installed successfully.  I've re-downloaded the installer 5 different times in 5 different locations between 2 hard drives, but nothing seems to work.

My first hurdle was that every time I got an invalid checksum error everytime I completed the download from the download manager.  I disabled the verify checksum in disk utility and got past that.  Then everything would seem to go well with the installation up until the end, when I'd get the error message.  Looking at the logs, I would always get an Exit Code: 6 error.  I've tried multiple solutions from deleting fonts, uninstalling everything and restarting, using the cs6 cleaner and restarting, installing in safe mode, installing from another admin account, trashing preferences, deleting the entire font folder, deleting all adobe files, everything I've found in these forums but nothing has worked.  My current error log is this:

Exit Code: 6

It seems to me the issue has to do with permissions, but I'm not sure.  My errors before I trashed my preferences involved fonts and language packs as well.  I did not have these issues with my first installation, I do not understand why I'm having them now.  I've also tried reinstalling Premiere with the standalone install as I did originally and that no longer works.  The same files do install on my laptop so I don't think it's an issue of the installation files, but I don't know what else it could be.  Does anyone have any remaining suggestions?

And thank you for reading through all this if anyone does.
