Left link not showing up

Jul 12, 2012 9:20 AM

Hello,

I am currently creating a home page and have the "left" and "right" links coded EXACTLY the same in all CSS files. For some reason, once I created the links to the next pages, the "left" side doesn't show up, only the right. In dreamweaver CS6, both links show up how they are supposed to. But, in every browser I check, the "left" link is invisible?

Even more crazy, both HTML and CSS have passed validation, and browser compatibility. Help!

Casey

I have not run it to ground, but I can say that through a number of DW versions the design view presentation does not match what browsers show. I am using CSS to position content - navigation menu on the left, page content on the right, roughly speaking width of the left side fixed, and width of the right side is fluid. Somewhere in the techniques used the right side positioning gets handled differently by DW in its editing presentation than it does by current browsers.

Does anything different happen in live view, etc?

Please do not hijack other threads with unrelated questions. I have branched this to a new thread.

For help troubleshooting design issues, please post the URL of the problem page(s). Without seeing the code, no one can possibly hope to provide the answer.
