full bleed

Jul 11, 2012 8:57 PM

would anyone mind helping me figure out how to print an 8 x 11 document as "full bleed"?

i have some documents that have colorful backgrounds and i only seem to be able to print to 8 x 11 with some amount of vertical white space on either side and perhaps some horizontal white space at the top and bottom.

i am a new user and it would be great to ptint the document as it looks in png at 8.5 x 11.

TIA

Most desktop printers don't print full bleed. There is almost always a margin around the page that can't be printed.

In response to the second part of your question about printing larger, you would simply print the 8.5 x 11 document at its normal size on a larger sheet of paper, make sure it's not scaling, and trim down.

    Hi hotwheels222,

You could always use the Crop tool in Acrobat to simulate the 'full bleed' by removing the white border.
