I am puzzled by this. (http://www.evolvedtools.com/hardwareTools.html). It slides the div content in all browsers I've tried, but it will not scroll with the mouse wheel. I have tried everything I could google, but there must be something elementary I am not seeing....
As far as I can see, there should be support for mousewheel through jquery...
I think for mousewheel scrolling to work with custom scrolling you need links to:
a) latest jQuery core library
b) latest jQuery UI library
c) custom scrolling script
d) mousewheel script and
e) easing script.
I don't see all of that in your test page.
This link might work better for you:
Alt-Web Design & Publishing
Web | Graphics | Print | Media Specialists
Tank you for helping :-) If you look at the page now, the right linking should be there, and also there is a binding to the wheel function of the mouse through js.
All that should be left then is to put a function in there instead of the alert , since it is registrering the event of up and down scroll....?
I looked at the link you put there and I may find the answer there :-)
I now have jquery, jquery tools, jquery ui, jguery mousewheel and easing scripts correctly added. I tested the mousescroller when hovering over the div, and it displays the correct values of 'up' and 'down'. Also, I have tried a lot of different function calls with or without parameters, in the mousewheel script, added or subtracted an additional wrapper div , etc, etc.....
THE DIV CONTENT IS NOT SCROLLING :-(
Implemented the custom scroller by Malihu........ Works great :-)
I must admit that it is a bit annoying not to be able to use the range- input/ output with its html5 markup. It would have been great to be able to use a clean solution like that.......
