In 2011 I was a Photoshop CS4 user, intending to upgrade directly to CS6 when it was released. In January 2012 I bought CS5 ONLY because Adobe announced their plan to allow low cost upgrades to CS6 for CS5 users only (NOT CS4 or earlier). Scott Kelby wrote an open letter of objection to Adobe about it.
Now I find that the low upgrade price for CS6 IS available after all to CS4 users.
However Adobe refuse to replace my CS5 with CS6, saying I'm outside the "post-announce" period. This is a different issue from any post announce deal. I feel Adobe are behaving unethically and wonder if anyone else is in the same boat?
Do a search for this and you will find a lot of users in the same boat. Lots of thread on the subject. The upshot was that due to the hue and cry Adobe set up a special deal for people like you.
Not sure who you call to get there attention, but the threads may show it.
Thanks for super fast response - appreciated. In fact I already did search using tags like - upgrade CS5 CS6 policy change etc - and found only one locked discussion. Will try again! Would appreciate help in finding these threads!
